The fox watched the rabbit closely, his eyes following every little hop. He had two thoughts in mind: he wanted to be friends with the rabbit, but he also wondered how he might trap him. However, the fox was wise enough to know that if he tried anything sneaky, the animals in the countryside would be very upset with him. After all, the rabbit was well-loved, and if anyone saw the fox near him, it would put the fox’s own safety at risk.
So, the fox thought carefully. “Maybe there’s a better way to get close to the rabbit without causing any trouble.”
The next day, the fox decided to bring a gift: a fresh carrot he found in the farmer’s garden. He placed it gently on the path where the rabbit liked to hop.
When the rabbit saw the carrot, he was delighted! “Who could have left this here for me?” he wondered. Just then, the fox came out from behind a tree and said, “Hello, Rabbit! I thought you might like a snack.”
The rabbit looked a bit surprised but took the carrot happily. “Thank you, Fox!” he said, nibbling on the tasty treat. “Would you like to play with me?”
The fox smiled, feeling pleased that he’d made the right choice. From then on, the fox and the rabbit became good friends, playing and exploring together, and the fox realized that friendship was far more rewarding than any tricks he could have played.
And so, the fox learned that sometimes, being kind brings the best rewards. The fox and rabbit stayed friends forever, hopping and trotting around the countryside together.
The end.
