Little T.C., the tiger cub, bounced up to his mom with a very important look on his furry face.
"Mom," T.C. chirped, "can I go play with Leo and Ruby? They're practicing their pouncing today!"
"Of course, sweetie," his mom purred, giving his ears a quick lick. "Go have fun, but you need to be back here before the sun starts to dip. No arguing!"
T.C. flashed a grin. "Got it, Mom! I'll keep an eye on the sky!" And with a happy whoosh, he was off to meet his friends.
The cubs were having a blast, tumbling and playing 'Ambush the Log.' Suddenly, the fun screeched to a halt. A massive shadow fell over them, followed by a terrifying, gruff ROAR!
It was a grumpy, giant Grizzly Bear! He had lumbered into their clearing, looking ready to cause trouble.
Just then, a second, even louder sound echoed through the jungle—a ferocious, ground-shaking SNARL!
Mama Tiger had arrived! She appeared out of nowhere, muscles coiled and eyes blazing like gold fire. Seeing the pure, unadulterated fury of a protective mother, the Grizzly Bear didn't hesitate.
"Nope! Not today!" the bear seemed to grumble to himself as he spun around and crashed back into the woods, running as fast as his big paws could carry him.
T.C. ran right into his mom's side. "Thanks, Mom! You're the fiercest!"
Mama Tiger just winked. "You bet, kiddo. Now let's go get some dinner. Maybe we'll stick to 'Ambush the Log' until morning, okay?"
