Cow And The Bear Story

A cow was grazing peacefully in a lush, sunlit meadow, enjoying the sweet clover and the gentle summer breeze. "It's so pleasant here," she thought to herself, happily chewing her cud.

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from the tree line, followed by a sharp crack of breaking branches. Looking up in shock, the cow saw a heavy black bear tumbling out of a tall oak tree and hitting the ground with a thud. The bear let out a low groan, pulled himself up onto his front paws, and locked eyes with her. Terrified that she was about to become his next meal, the cow backed away, trembling, and began to cry.

"Please don't cry, ma'am," the bear said gently, his voice strained. "I'm not going to hurt you. I was trying to reach a beehive up in that big tree, but a branch snapped. I injured my leg in the fall, and I can't even walk right now."

He lowered his head, catching his breath as he nursed a swollen paw. "May I please rest here in the shade for a little while? As soon as I regain my strength, I'll be on my way, and I promise not to bother you or anyone in the village."

Looking closely at the bear, the cow saw the genuine pain in his eyes and realized he was telling the truth. Her fear melted into sympathy. She nudged a patch of soft grass toward him and stood watch, keeping a gentle guard while he rested.

After a short while, the swelling in the bear's paw went down. He carefully tested his weight on all four legs and found he could stand again.

"Thank you, dear friend, for your kindness and patience," the bear said, bowing his head in gratitude. With a peaceful nod, he turned and limped slowly back into the shelter of the nearby forest.

The cow smiled, her heart warm, and returned to grazing in the quiet meadow.
