The young tiger cub, on his very first independent adventure away from the den, received a stern warning from his mother: "Be careful, and always be alert!" He walked and walked, his curiosity guiding him until he stumbled upon a truly beautiful clearing. "Wow, this place is so nice," he thought aloud, "I'm going to stay here for a while." Exhausted from his journey, the cub decided to take a short nap.
A few hours later, the cub awoke with a start. It was getting dark. "Oh, no! I meant to take a short nap, but I went into a deep sleep," he fretted. He began his journey home, but soon realized he was lost. He wandered aimlessly, panic rising as he couldn't find the right path. "Oh, dear, I'm trapped!" the cub worried. Just then, he spotted a small rabbit nearby, completely unaware of the tiger cub's presence. "Hey, Mr. Rabbit, will you help me get home?" the cub asked. The rabbit, upon seeing the cub, froze in terror. "No need to worry, I'm your friend!" the cub quickly reassured him. "I just need your help to get out of this place quickly; my mother must be worried sick waiting for me."
"Sure, I'll help you get home," the rabbit replied, greatly relieved that the tiger cub had no intention of eating him. The rabbit then showed the cub a detailed map etched into a tree. "See, you came from here," the rabbit explained, pointing with his nose. "Walk a bit north, then a bit south, and take that riverside road. It will lead you straight to your home."
"Thank you so much for your kind help! I'll never forget this, and I'll be sure to tell my mother all about you," the cub exclaimed. He followed the rabbit's directions precisely and, though it was late, finally reached his den. His mother, the tigress, was overjoyed to see her son safe and sound. The cub recounted his adventure, especially the part about the helpful rabbit. The mother tiger smiled. "Okay, dear son," she said, "next time you go there, don't forget to convey my regards to him."
