No Worms Will Be Spared

worm eater bird

Once upon a time, in a cozy green garden, lived a little brown bird named Pip. Pip wasn't just any bird; he was the smartest, fastest worm-eater around! He had shiny, bright eyes that could spot the wiggliest, plumpest worms from high up in the sky.

Every morning, as the sun peeked over the garden fence, Pip would wake up with a happy chirp. He'd stretch his little wings, fluff his brown feathers, and get ready for his most important job: finding breakfast!

One sunny day, Pip was soaring above Mrs. Higgins's prize-winning rose bushes. He looked down, down, down... and there it was! A long, juicy, super-fat worm was wiggling on the soft, damp earth near a big, red rose. "Aha!" chirped Pip. "No worm can escape this worm-eater!"

With a swoop and a dive, Pip flew down like a tiny brown arrow. He landed with a soft thump right next to the worm. Before the worm even knew what was happening, Pip's quick beak snatched it right off the ground.

Gulp!

That was it! The fat worm was gone, and Pip let out a happy little burp. He puffed out his chest, feeling very proud and very full. "What a smart bird I am!" he chirped, and then he flew off to perch on a branch, ready to sing his happiest song for the day. And all the other birds in the garden knew it was true – Pip was indeed the smartest, fastest worm-eater of them all!
