Jumbo, The Circus Elepahnt

Jumbo was a very famous circus elephant! He had a really interesting life, traveling to many different places on a train with a special car just for him.

This amazing elephant came from Sudan in Africa. He went on a big adventure all the way to France, and then to London. Finally, he traveled across the ocean to America! There, a famous circus company called P.T. Barnum bought him.

While he was in the circus, Jumbo went on stage many, many times. People everywhere loved to watch him! He was a very successful performer and everyone wanted to see the big, friendly elephant.

But sadly, when Jumbo was only 24 years old, a very sad thing happened. He was in a railway accident and passed away. It was a very sad day for everyone who loved Jumbo.
