Hey, don’t look at me, I am ruined, my beauty is gone, and I will never be able to fly again. I never thought that this will happen to me. I was flying up in the sky, diving into the sea to catch fish. Every day, I am busy flying around and doing my duties as a seagull diligently.
I noticed a color change in the seawater but thought that it must be some algae growing under the sea. But only when I took a dip, I found out that I am a victim of a nasty oil spill from an oil tanker shipwreck that ruined my life. I am so, so sad, I lost my feathers. Now, I can’t fly. Many of my friends also lost their feathers like me. Some of them saved themselves from getting affected because I warned them about the situation.
I have admired those gigantic oil tankers moving around in the sea, but not anymore because one of such oil tanker caused us this trouble. I don’t know what will happen to me if I couldn’t fly.
The world is getting a more and more dangerous place to live for birds like us. I don’t know other creatures under the sea, which might have died without getting fresh oxygen.
