A Trunkful of Fun

"Will you take me for a ride?" asked Pip the cat. He looked up, way up, at his giant friend, Barnaby the elephant.

"I’d be happy to!" Barnaby trumpeted softly. "Hop on, little friend."

With a quick wiggle and a pounce, Pip scrambled up Barnaby’s sturdy leg and perched right behind his big, floppy ears. As Barnaby began to stomp across the sunny countryside, the bells on the red barn jingled in the distance.

Pip felt like the king of the world! From high up on Barnaby’s back, he could see over the tall sunflowers and all the way to the rolling green hills. He purred loudly, feeling very proud to have such a big, kind-hearted best friend.
