Once upon a time, in a cozy green meadow, lived two little frog friends named Pip and Pop.
One afternoon, things just weren't going their way. Pip dropped his favorite shiny pebble in the mud, and Pop bumped his little froggy toe on a rock. It hurt, and they felt so overwhelmed. So, sitting side-by-side on the soft brown dirt, they did what any frog would do.
They cried. They cried big, honest tears.
“Waaaaah,” croaked Pip. “Ribbit-hoo-hoo,” sobbed Pop.
They cried a whole lot, letting all their sadness out. But as they sat together, holding hands, something magical happened. Their tears started to feel lighter. They looked up at the sky and noticed a giant, fluffy grey cloud rolling in right above them.
"Look," Pip whispered, sniffing a little. "The sky is crying with us!"
"It is going to rain," Pop smiled, his eyes bright. "The cloud is letting go of its big feelings, just like we did."
Suddenly, the sadness didn't feel so heavy anymore. They knew that after the rain, the grass would grow greener, the mud would be perfect for splashing, and they would be ready to play again.
A Little Note for Young Readers: > It is totally okay to cry when you are sad or hurt! Just like a rainy day helps the flowers grow, crying helps your heart feel better.
What do you think Pip and Pop should do once the rain starts falling?
