The Good News

One sunny afternoon, the lion was taking a short nap in the forest. Suddenly, he heard a voice:

“Hey, wake up! I have good news for you!” The elephant was trying to get the lion’s attention.

The lion yawned and opened one eye. “What’s the matter?” he asked, sounding a little grumpy.

“It’s going to rain!” the elephant said excitedly.

The lion was surprised. “Who told you that? Are you trying to fool me? We haven’t had rain in months!”

But the elephant shook his head. “I saw clouds moving this way. They’ll be here soon!”

Just then, they felt a gentle breeze. It got stronger and stronger until it turned into a wild storm. Raindrops began to pour from the sky, and soon, all the rivers in the forest were filled with water.

The lion and the elephant were so happy, they couldn’t help but dance in the rain! They splashed in the puddles and laughed, feeling the cool rain all around them. It was a wonderful day for the two friends in the forest!
