Once upon a time, there was a bear who doubted himself about everything. He used to be a confident, young bear, but one day, while trying to collect a honeycomb from a tall tree, he slipped and fell. Ever since that day, the bear lost all his courage and thought of himself as a big failure.
One sunny afternoon, the bear spotted a delicious honeycomb hanging from a tree. He wanted it so badly, but he was too scared to climb up. As he stood there, unsure, a friendly monkey swung down from a nearby branch and noticed his hesitation.
“What’s wrong, Bear?” the monkey asked.
The bear sighed. “I want that honeycomb, but I don’t think I can get it. I’m afraid I’ll fall again.”
The monkey smiled kindly. “You can do it, Bear! I know you’re brave enough. Just believe in yourself, like you used to.”
Encouraged by the monkey’s words, the bear took a deep breath, gathered all his courage, and started climbing. Higher and higher he went, until he finally reached the honeycomb. With a big smile, he carefully climbed down with the honeycomb in his paw.
When he reached the ground, the monkey clapped and cheered, “Well done, Bear! You did it!”
The bear felt proud and happy. From that day on, he knew he was brave after all. And every time he climbed a tree, he remembered that he had a little courage inside, thanks to his friend, the monkey.
