The Angry Duck And The Elephant

Elephant and duck story
Why are you disturbing us?

"Hey! Mr. Elephant! What do you think you're doing?" a tiny duck named Daisy squawked, paddling right up to the elephant's giant, splashing foot.

Elliot the Elephant was having a blast. He was right in the middle of their small, cozy river, spraying water everywhere with his trunk. It felt amazing!

Daisy put her wings on her hips. "This is our river, sir, and it's not a good fit for an elephant! Look at us!" She pointed a wing at her friends, who were bobbing up and down wildly in the waves Elliot was making. "You are messing up our peaceful swim! We might just have to call an emergency meeting about you!"

Elliot stopped splashing. His ears drooped a little. He looked at the tiny, bouncy ducks and then down at his own enormous, muddy body.

"Oh, goodness," Elliot mumbled. "You know what, Ms. Daisy? You are absolutely right. All I was thinking about was how much I wanted to play. I didn't stop to think that I was causing a big splash and disturbing all of you. I'm so sorry!"

He gave a final, gentle splash to clean his foot. "This little river is perfect for ducks, but it's just too small for me. I'll go find a much bigger river—a giant one—where I can splash all I want!"

With a happy wave of his trunk, Elliot lumbered out of the water and headed off to find a new, colossal swimming spot.

The ducks cheered! "Hooray!" Daisy shouted. They quickly got back to their normal, quiet swimming. Everyone was happy—Elliot the Elephant was happy to be on his way to a bigger pool, and the ducks were happy to have their nice, calm river all to themselves again!
