Tobi was a tiger with very big ears and an even bigger imagination. Crag was a crocodile who preferred snacks to scaring anyone. They lived where the golden grass met the neon-blue river, and today, they were bored.
"Check it out, Crag!" Tobi chirped, pointing a fuzzy paw toward a mysterious wooden crate bobbing near the reeds. "It’s a delivery! Maybe it’s a giant supply of super-sour jungle gummies!"
Crag floated closer, his eyes popping out of the water like two green marbles. "Or maybe it’s a submarine. I’ve always wanted to go deep-sea diving, Tobi. I just need the goggles."
Tobi didn’t like getting his paws wet—tiger fur takes forever to dry—so Crag turned himself into a taxi. With a quick "oomph," Tobi hopped onto Crag’s bumpy, moss-colored back. They paddled out, the water rippling around them like silk.
Creak... snap!
Inside wasn’t candy or a submarine. It was a golden compass and a glowing map. At the very top, in bright, sparkly letters, it read: PROPERTY OF THE JUNGLE EXPLORERS CLUB.
"Whoa," Tobi whispered, his eyes widening. "This map leads to the Glow-Worm Grotto. My grandpa told me stories about that place! He said the trees there grow upside down and the water tastes like blue raspberry slushies."
Crag gave a toothy grin. "Well, I'm already in the water, and you've already got the map. I guess that makes us official explorers."
Tobi held the compass high. "To the Grotto, Crag! Just watch out for the tickle-vines on the way!"
