Rooster And The Lion

The lion tried to lure the rooster by giving it some seeds to eat. But not everything went smoothly as he planned.

Instead of stepping closer to eat, the rooster flapped his wings, fluttered up to the top of a high wooden fence post, and crowed loudly:

"Cock-a-doodle-doo! Thank you for the generous offer, Mr. Lion! But if those magical seeds made you as strong as you are, I'm afraid eating them would make me way too big for my chicken coop!"

The lion blinked, surprised that his clever trick hadn't worked. He tried to take a step closer, but the fence post was much too high for him to reach.
