Moo-moo's Adventure

hippo saving a cow from drowning
You are lucky, my dear!

Moo-moo was a clumsy calf. One sunny afternoon, she was skipping and jumping near the river, her hooves tapping a happy tune. She was so busy playing that she didn’t notice the edge of the bank! Suddenly, Moo-moo stumbled and tumbled right into the river with a splash!

Moo-moo panicked. She couldn’t swim! She started kicking her legs and splashing, but it only made her go round and round. “Help! I can’t swim!” she cried.

Luckily, Horace the hippo was nearby. He saw Moo-moo struggling in the water and quickly swam over to help. “Hold on tight!” Horace boomed.

Moo-moo grabbed onto Horace’s big, bumpy back with all her might. Horace gently nudged her towards the shore, and soon they reached the safety of the riverbank.

Moo-moo was so grateful. “Thank you, Horace!” she said, hugging the hippo’s big head. “You saved me!”

Horace chuckled. “You’re welcome, Moo-moo. Just be more careful next time!”

From that day on, Moo-moo and Horace were the best of friends. Moo-moo would often visit Horace by the river, and Horace would tell her stories about the other animals in the savanna. They learned that even though they were very different, they could still be good friends and help each other.
