Lion's Visit

A lion, feeling bored in the forest, decided to sneak into the nearby village.

He was super careful not to make a sound! He walked on the tips of his big paws because he didn't want to announce his visit with a loud ROAR. The lion was a little nervous about being seen by the people who lived there.

Walking quietly through the village, the lion spotted a big cow peacefully munching grass in a sunny meadow.

"Hey, Cow," the lion whispered, trying to sound friendly. "I'm going back to the forest. Would you like to come with me?"

What did the cow do?

Instead of answering the lion's strange invitation, the cow suddenly threw back her head and started to cry a super, super loud M-O-O-O-O-O! She cried so loud that it sounded like a giant alarm bell ringing all over the village!

The lion gasped! He covered his ears and knew he'd been tricked. He didn't want the people to come and catch him, so the embarrassed lion turned tail and ran back to the safety of the deep forest as fast as his legs could carry him!

Sometimes a cow is powerful than a lion!
