The Mid Air Collision

Two leopards flying each other

In the middle of the Great Green Meadow lived a bunny named Bilky. Bilky was what you might call "professionally relaxed." While other bunnies spent their time twitching their noses at every rustling leaf, Bilky spent his time taste-testing the local clover and wondering if clouds were made of marshmallow fluff.

Little did he know, he was being watched.

The Sneaky Strategy

On the left side of the meadow, behind a very small bush, was Leo. Leo was a leopard who took himself very seriously. He moved with the grace of a shadow... or at least a shadow that occasionally trips over its own paws.

Step... step... wiggle... Leo prepared for the ultimate leap.

The Secret Competitor

On the right side of the meadow, behind a slightly larger rock, was Lulu. Lulu was also a leopard, and she was convinced she was the fastest cat in the county. She had been tracking the same "marshmallow-scented bunny" for twenty minutes.

Creep... crawl... wiggle... Lulu prepared for her finest pounce yet.

The Mid-Air Meet-and-Greet

At the exact same moment, both leopards thought the same thing: "NOW!"

Leo launched like a furry yellow rocket from the left. Lulu launched like a spotted lightning bolt from the right.

Bilky the bunny just reached for a particularly juicy dandelion.

THWACK!

Instead of a bunny dinner, the two leopards met exactly three feet above Bilky’s head. It wasn't a graceful collision. It was a tangle of tails, a muddle of middles, and a confusing collection of spots.

"Oof!" yelled Leo. "Eek!" cried Lulu.

The Aftermath

The two leopards tumbled to the ground in a dusty heap of "sorry!" and "that's my ear!"

Bilky finally looked up. He saw a pile of leopards, blinked his big, sleepy eyes, and let out a tiny burp. "Gosh," Bilky thought, "the weather is certainly getting aggressive today." With a polite hop and a flick of his cotton-ball tail, he strolled away to find a quieter lunch spot. Leo and Lulu just sat there, covered in grass stains, watching the world’s luckiest bunny disappear into the tall grass.
