Why this cat stopped hunting the ducks

Looking For A Duck Breakfast

A curious cat was padding softly along the edge of the river. He was hoping to catch a little young duck for a snack.

"Hey! You need to leave right now!" shouted the young duck, flapping his tiny wings nervously.

"Why should I go anywhere?" the cat asked, blinking slowly. He thought the duck was just trying to trick him and get away.

Unexpected Entry

Suddenly, a big, bouncy Bulldog came charging by! Whoosh! The dog bumped right into the cat and knocked him splash into the cold river.

"Help! I can't swim! I'm drowning!" the cat yelled, paddling wildly.

The little ducks quickly gathered. Instead of running away, they paddled close to the cat and helped push him toward the bank until he could scramble out onto the grass.

Going Home

Shivering and soaked, the cat looked at the ducks. "Oh, wow. Thank you so much! I am so sorry, guys. I promise, I will never hunt you again," the cat said sincerely. Then, he shook the water off and trotted home.
