One sunny day, a little dog saw a huge elephant walking by.
"Wow!" barked the dog, looking way, way up. "You are so big! How did you get so big? What kind of giant food are you eating? I wish I could be big like you!"
The elephant smiled a big, gentle smile and chuckled softly.
"That's a funny question, little friend," the elephant trumpeted kindly. "I'm big because that's just how I was made. God made me to be an elephant, and elephants are supposed to be big! You are made to be a dog, and dogs are supposed to be small and speedy."
The dog tilted his head and then wagged his tail.
"Oh, I get it!" said the dog, giving a happy grin. "So, it doesn't matter how big or small we are. What matters is being the best me I can be!"
The elephant nodded. "Exactly right!"
The Moral of the Story Being different is great! We are all special just the way we are, big or small.
