Finding A Cool Place For The Hippo

One sunny day, Freddie the frog saw Horace the hippo looking very hot and bothered.  Horace was sweating under the warm sun. “Hey, Horace!” chirped Freddie. “What’s wrong? You look a bit droopy.”

“Oh, Freddie,” sighed Horace. “I’m so hot! I need to cool down, but I can’t find a nice cool pond anywhere.”

Freddie smiled. “Don’t worry, Horace! My pond is just over here! It’s nice and cool, and there’s plenty of room for a big hippo like you!”

Freddie hopped along, and Horace lumbered behind him. Soon, they reached Freddie’s pond. It was full of sparkling water! Horace waded in with a happy sigh. “Ahhh,” he said. “This is perfect! Thank you, Freddie!”

Horace splashed and played in the cool water, and Freddie paddled happily beside him. They had so much fun!

From that day on, Freddie and Horace were the best of friends. They helped each other whenever they needed it.  Sometimes, Freddie would even hitch a ride on Horace’s back as they explored the sunny savanna together.
