One sunny afternoon, a cow was grazing peacefully in a meadow. Suddenly, she noticed a movement in the bush.
It was a wild fox darting across the field. The fox ran quickly and then disappeared behind the bushes. A few moments later, it reappeared, running just as fast, and then vanished again.
Curious, the cow called out, “Hey there! What’s going on? Why are you running around like that? Are you playing a game or something?”
The fox stopped for a moment, catching its breath, and said, “Oh, no! I’m not playing. But I’ll tell you why I’m running. I am preparing for the jungle race. I am practicing my running skills for that race.”
The cow smiled and said, “That sounds exciting! But make sure you don’t tire yourself out. You need to save some energy for the race.”
The fox nodded. “You’re right! Maybe I’ll take a little break now. Thanks for the advice, Cow!”
The next day, the cow came to watch the race. She cheered loudly as all the animals lined up at the starting point. When the race began, the fox dashed forward, running faster than ever. All the practice had paid off, and the fox crossed the finish line first!
The cow clapped her hooves together and shouted, “Hooray! You did it, Fox! Congratulations!”
The fox smiled proudly and said, “Thank you, Cow! I’m glad I practiced, and I’m even happier that I have such a good friend who supported me.”
The cow smiled and asked. “Ok, where is the treat?”
