The young tiger was excited. It was day one of its solo hunting. From a distance, the tiger spotted a group of buffaloes grazing peacefully in the meadows.
“Hey, father, I spotted a group of buffaloes. I am going to hunt them,” he called out to its father. The young tiger was being trained by its father on how to hunt.
“Don’t be in a hurry. Keep waiting until one of the buffalo is isolated from the rest,” advised his father.
The young tiger waited for some time but soon lost patience.
“I’ll go and try my luck. I am stronger than these silly buffaloes,” the tiger said to himself and jumped upon one of the buffalo.
The strong buffalo shook the tiger off its body. Other buffaloes started pouncing upon the tiger. The buffaloes left the tiger to die.
The tiger somehow reached its home, where his father awaited him.
“Hey, what happened? Where is your hunt of the day?” asked the curious father.
“I am sorry, father. I lost my patience and tried to hunt the buffalo before one of them got isolated from the rest of the herd,” said the young tiger.
“No problem, dear. I also made the same mistake when I was your age. Anyway, you have learned a great lesson today,” said the father tiger.
