A young monkey was practicing his acrobatic skills high up in a tall, leafy tree. He was so quick and so good, leaping from one branch to another and swinging with a happy grin.
Just then, a friendly giraffe walked by. With his long neck, he could see the little monkey's every move. "What are you doing up there?" the giraffe asked in a gentle voice.
The monkey grinned. "I'm practicing for the big jungle games! It takes a lot of work to be the best tree jumper."
The giraffe watched as the monkey did a very tricky flip. "Please be careful! That's a very long way down."
The monkey giggled, "Don't you worry! My dad is right here with me. If I ever slip, he'll catch me." He pointed to an older monkey on a branch nearby, who gave a reassuring nod. "I've lost my balance a few times before, but my dad is always there to help me get back on my feet."
The giraffe smiled, feeling a warm glow in his heart. He stayed a while, happily watching the two monkeys practice and play, knowing the little one was safe.
