Hiss, hiss! A brand-new guest slithered into the garden. It was a snake, and he seemed like a very happy guy! He swayed and twirled, doing a little dance all the way.
But the Cat was watching, and she grew suspicious. "Hmm," she thought, "Why is this snake dancing here?"
The Cat was right! The snake wasn't there to make friends. He had a sneaky, bad intention. He wanted to hunt the tasty Rooster or a hopping Rabbit for his dinner!
Quick as a flash, the clever Cat ran to alert her best friend, the Dog.
"Woof! Woof! Woof!" The big Dog rushed over and let out a loud, booming bark right at the snake.
The snake was so startled! He stopped his dancing right away. He knew he'd been caught. With a quick slither, he turned around and retreated back into the deep, dark forest, far away from the garden friends.
The Rooster and the Rabbit were safe, thanks to the quick thinking of the Cat and the loud bark of the Dog!
