The Peace Deal

It was Lion’s first day after he was crowned as the king of the jungle. The king was walking towards the river to drink some water. But he was welcomed by a fighting hippo and a croc. Other animals who came to drink water were waiting for the fight to be over to drink water.

“Hey, what’s the matter? Why are you fighting?” asked the lion.

“I’m fighting for my territory,” said the hippo.

“It’s my territory. The hippo can’t claim this as its territory,” said the croc.

“Ok, ok, stop fighting. Your fighting makes other animals a disturbance. You need to stop fighting over this kind of silly matter. I will propose a solution,” said the lion.

“From that tree to this tree, it’s hippo’s territory. No hippos should cross their territory under any circumstances, and the Crocs should respect the hippo territory too.”
