The Monkey Visitor

Once upon a time, there was a sneaky little monkey named Marko who loved to collect things that weren’t his. Bananas, shiny spoons, colorful socks—if it was lying around, Marko wanted to snatch it!

One sunny afternoon, Marko tiptoed up to a cozy little house with a blue roof. He tiptoed to the front door, knocked lightly, and called out, "Anybody home?"

Marko held his breath, hoping nobody was inside. If the house was empty, he could sneak right through the door and grab some yummy snacks!

He took a step forward, grinning to himself, thinking he was the cleverest creature in the woods.

"MEOW!"

Marko gasped and leaped two feet into the air!

Right above him, sitting proudly on the rooftop, was a watchful tabby cat named Whiskers. Whiskers had been sitting up high in the cozy sunshine the entire time, watching Marko's every move with big, bright eyes.

"Looking for a snack, Marko?" Whiskers purred, grinning down from the roof. "Because I'm right here, and I guard this house!"

Caught red-handed, Marko giggled nervously, scratched his head, and scampered back up into the trees, deciding that today was not a good day for sneaky mischief!
