The Monkey Snatcher

Billu, the monkey, was a smart monkey. He lived in a place where many tourists come as visitors. But Billu had a bad behavior. Snatching things from the visitors.

One day, Billu, sitting on a tree, noticed a little girl with a red bag with her. Billu decided she was an easy target to snatch her red suitcase away. So Billu was looking at the girl. An ice cream vendor came that way. The girl’s attention turned to the ice cream. Taking that opportunity, Billu came down from the tree at lightning speed and snatched the girl’s red bag. Everything happened in a matter of seconds. Billu ran away with the red bag. The little girl started to cry. Her parents tried to console her, but the girl didn’t stop crying.

A bird, who saw Billu’s nasty act came to Billu.

“Hey, Billu, please return the bag to the little girl. You will be blessed by God for doing good deeds,” the bird said.

After a lot of persuasion from Bird, Billu returned the bag. He threw the bag to the little girl. The little girl was so happy to receive her bag back. She waved at the monkey with a happy smile. Billu also waved at the little girl. Billu felt a happy feeling from deep inside.

“I will never snatch anything from anybody,” Billu said to the bird. The bird was also happy.
