The lion jumped upon the buffalo

It’s every young lion’s dream to hunt down a buffalo. That would make their parents and friends proud. One day, Leo, the young lion, decided to catch a buffalo. He waited on a rock to spot the buffalo on its way to drink water.

After waiting for some time, Leo heard a big sound. It was a herd of buffaloes rushing to drink water from the river. Leo was alert. Without thinking, he jumped on the first buffalo of the herd. It was a strong buffalo; Leo lost his balance and fell down. There was a stampede of other buffaloes, and Leo found himself injured. Luckily, he managed to escape by rolling on the ground.

When the lion reached home, his father was standing there, staring at Leo. “Son, don’t worry. I know what happened today. It’s not the way to hunt a buffalo. Don’t target the first one because the first one in the herd is strong. Target the last one; you can beat him easily,” said his father.

“Okay, Father. I will do as you said,” said the lion, and went to sleep.
