The swan had flown hundreds of miles, its big, white wings tired but hopeful. It was searching for a good place to settle down, a place free from predators and hunters. Below it, the swan saw a beautiful, calm pond with a patch of bright green lily pads. It looked perfect.
"Let me settle down in that calm pond," the swan said to himself. As the swan glided down for a gentle landing, a friendly green frog hopped onto a lily pad and croaked a cheerful welcome. "Hey, newcomer, welcome to our pond!"
"Thank you, dear friend, for such a warm welcome," said the swan, its voice as soft as a breeze.
"Let's be friends," the frog said, bouncing with excitement.
"Sure, we will be friends from this moment onwards," said the swan.
From that day on, the swan and the frog were the best of friends. They spent their days exploring their new home. The swan would swim gracefully through the water, and the frog would ride on its back, pointing out all the secret nooks and crannies of the pond.
One sunny afternoon, the frog said, "The old turtle told me there's a shimmering stone at the bottom of the pond, just past the tall reeds! I've always wanted to see it."
"Then let's go on an adventure to find it!" the swan announced.
The swan and the frog set off. The frog clung tight to the swan's back as they glided past the thick reeds. Dragonflies zoomed by, their wings a blur of color. They dodged playful fish and watched a caterpillar munching on a leaf.
Finally, they reached the spot. The swan dipped its long neck into the water, and the frog held on tight. And there it was! At the bottom of the pond, a rock glowed with all the colors of the rainbow. It wasn't just a stone; it was a lost piece of a star, fallen from the sky!
The swan and the frog looked at the magical stone, amazed. It had been a long adventure, but the best part wasn't the sparkling rock—it was the joy of discovering it together. They knew that with a friend by your side, every day is an adventure waiting to happen.
