"Don't play smart, baby," the snake hissed, its eyes gleaming. "I've got you right where I want you. I've been waiting for this day to eat a big, juicy frog like you."
The frog, his heart pounding like a drum, started pleading with the snake to let him go. But the snake didn't listen. He opened his jaws wide, ready to swallow the terrified frog whole.
Just then, a loud roaring noise filled the air. It was a flash flood! A wall of water suddenly rushed towards the pond where the frog and the snake were. The water surged over the banks, swirling and splashing.
Seeing the sudden, powerful rush of water, the snake instantly let go of the frog and vanished into the murky depths.
Who saved the frog? It was a clever group of beavers who had built a dam nearby. One of the beavers had spotted the frog in the snake's deadly grip. Without hesitation, the brave beaver quickly opened the dam, causing the flash flood that scared the snake away.
Later, when the water had calmed down, the frog learned the amazing story of how the beavers had saved his life. He swam over to their dam, his little froggy heart full of gratitude, and thanked the beavers again and again for their quick thinking and heroic act.
