Run Baby, Run

Once upon a time, two happy baby elephants loved to play in a big, green field. They'd chase each other, trumpeting with glee, their floppy ears bouncing.

But a sneaky crocodile was watching them from the river. He had a grumpy, hungry look in his eyes. "Psst, little elephants!" he called out, trying to sound friendly. "Come into the water! I'll show you sparkling shells and colorful fish!"

The baby elephants, who loved new adventures, didn't know the crocodile was tricky. "Okay!" they squeaked, wiggling their trunks.

"Good, good," grinned the croc. "Just one foot in, nice and slow."

The moment one little elephant dipped his toe in the cool water, WHOOSH! The sneaky crocodile grabbed his leg and tried to pull him under! "HELP! Help me!" cried the baby elephant, splashing and kicking.

His brother, a very brave little elephant, didn't waste a second. He zoomed back to their mommy elephant, his legs a blur. "Mommy! Mommy! A mean crocodile grabbed brother!"

Suddenly, a rumble went through the field. It was the whole elephant family, thundering towards the river! They saw the little elephant struggling, trying so hard to get away from the grumpy crocodile.

Then, the biggest, strongest elephant of all, a very wise uncle, stomped forward. With a mighty THUD! he brought his enormous foot down right on the crocodile's back. The crocodile let out a huge ELP! in pain, and let go of the baby elephant. The little elephant quickly scrambled out of the water and ran to hug his mommy.

The big elephant wasn't done yet! He picked up the yelping crocodile and, with a giant toss, threw him far, far away. The crocodile landed with a CRUNCH! on a hard rock and was gone.

All the elephants cheered and trumpeted! They were so happy their little friend was safe. From that day on, the baby elephants knew to be careful and only play with their friends, not with sneaky crocodiles!
