The hippo stared at the tiger. "Hey, don't you know the rule about this pond? This pond is owned by hippos. No strangers are allowed to enter this pond," grumbled the angry hippo.
"I'm not a stranger to me, and I am not here to stay forever. I have better choices, which are more luxurious than this smelly pond," the tiger said.
"The angry hippo prepared to charge the tiger. But the tiger jumped out of the pond and ran away.
It was summer again. All the ponds and the rivers in the forest dried. The hippo was feeling the heat. What to do? He had no other option than to leave the pond. He wandered in the forest searching for water. Soon, he saw a pond full of water.
The hippo jumped into the water. "Wow, this feels like heaven," the excited hippo shouted. But his happiness lasted only for a few minutes. A group of tigers appeared there. The tiger king came to the hippo and asked the hippo to get out of the pond because the pond belonged to the tigers.
The hippo didn't expect that. He saw it was the same tiger he had humiliated earlier. The hippo asked forgiveness for his arrogance and pleaded with the tiger to allow him to stay in the pond. The tiger king finally allowed the hippo to stay back. That incident changed Hippo's mind, to welcome all, and treat everybody with respect.
