Lion And The Elephant

Breathe in, Breathe out discover yourself

The lion was always on edge. He felt a nervous flutter in his chest, though he couldn’t quite figure out why. He paced back and forth, unable to settle down.

One afternoon, the lion came across a large elephant. The elephant stood perfectly still, a gentle breeze rustling his ears as he watched the sunset. He looked completely at peace.

"Hey there," the lion huffed, padding over. "How do you stay so relaxed? I can't seem to find any peace and quiet in my own head!"

The elephant smiled kindly. "I'm glad you asked. I’ll share my little secret with you," he said. "Every day, I take a few moments to sit very still. I listen to the birds, feel the grass beneath my feet, and just breathe. By enjoying the world around me, I remember to be thankful for all the good things we've been given. That’s when the calmness finds me."

The lion’s eyes brightened. "I think I'd like to try that, too," he said.

From that day on, the lion took a break from his pacing to sit, breathe, and enjoy the beautiful forest.
