Lion And The Gift From Rabbit

After a big lunch, Leo the Lion was relaxing in the shade of a tall acacia tree, feeling very full and very sleepy. Suddenly, he heard a rustle in the grass. Out popped a little rabbit, who realized—a second too late—that he had hopped right into the lion's den!

The rabbit’s whiskers twitched with fear, but he took a deep breath and held out a bright, crunchy vegetable.

"Your Majesty," the rabbit squeaked, trying to be brave. "I’ve come to bring you a special gift! It’s the finest, Vitamin-A-packed carrot in the whole forest."

Leo looked down at the tiny rabbit and the tiny carrot. A deep rumble started in his chest, and then... he let out a giant, belly-shaking laugh!

"That is very kind of you, little friend," Leo chucked, his golden mane swaying. "But as you can see, I’m a lion. I’m strictly a 'meat-and-potatoes' kind of guy—and I definitely don't eat my veggies!"

Leo smiled warmly at the trembling bunny. "I accept your thoughtful gift, but why don't you take it home? Your kids would probably enjoy a healthy snack much more than I would."

The rabbit’s ears perked up. "Really? Thank you, Your Majesty!"

With a happy wiggle of his nose, the rabbit hopped away, eager to share the prize with his family. Leo just yawned, closed his eyes, and went back to his nap, thinking that it was a pretty good day to be a King.
