Grinding It All The Way

A bored little kitten was lounging on the porch when he spotted a mouse. The mouse wasn't running away, though; he was leaning over a piece of wood, working away with a loud scritch-scritch-scritch sound.

"Hey!" the kitten called out, tilting his head. "What are you doing? Is that your lunch? It looks pretty dry."

The mouse stopped and looked up with a tiny grin. "No way, kiddo! I'm not eating it. I’m just sharpening my tools."

"Your tools?" the kitten asked, confused.

"My teeth!" the mouse squeaked proudly. "We mice are lucky to have teeth that never stop growing. If I don't grind them down on a piece of wood like this, they’d get way too long. It’s like a built-in toothbrush and a trip to the dentist all at once!"
