Jocking Frog

Once upon a time in the green jungle, there lived a tiny frog who loved to tell funny jokes.

While the other frogs sat quietly on lily pads saying "Ribbit," this little frog stood up on a log and put on a comedy show!

His best friend was a giant elephant. The elephant had a giant laugh to match his giant body.

"Hey, listen to this one!" the frog squeaked, waving his little green arms. "Why couldn't the pony sing a song?"

The elephant stopped munching on leaves and blew a big puff of air. "I don't know. Why?"

"Because he was a little hoarse!"

The frog giggled and slapped his belly.

The elephant tried very hard not to laugh. He pinched his nose with his trunk. He squeezed his eyes shut. But a big rumble started deep down in his tummy—grumble, rumble, rumble!

He couldn't hold it in any longer!

HA HA HA!

The elephant burst into a huge laugh! It was so loud that juicy mangoes fell right out of the trees—plop, plop, plop! Flocks of colorful birds flew into the sky, and the water in the pond splashed all over the place.

The elephant fell onto the soft grass, rolling on his back and laughing until his cheeks hurt.

The little frog bowed low to his big friend. "Thank you, thank you! I'll be here all day!"
