The Frog Who Helped A Hippo

A frog saw a hippo crying. “Hey, Hippo, what’s the matter? Why are you crying?” asked the concerned frog.

“I cry because soon the water in this pond will dry. This is summer, and I have to spend a few months under the hot sun. If the water disappears, I can’t cool my body, and I will die,” said the hippo.

“Don’t worry, I will take care of it,” said the frog.

“How can you, a silly frog, solve this big problem?” asked the hippo.

“Wait and see,” said the frog.

A few days passed. The sun was getting hotter and hotter. The water in the pond would last only for a few days.

“Hey, Mr. Frog. Where are you? What about your promise?” the hippo called.

“I am here, Mr. Hippo. I remember my promise. Just watch how I will help you,” said the frog.

“Chrome, Chrome, Chrome, the frog started crying loudly.

“Why are you crying instead of helping me,” the confused hippo asked.

Before he finished asking, the clouds appeared in the sky, and it started raining. The heavy rainfall lasted for a few hours. The pond in which the hippo was living was full of water.

“Wow, you are great, Mr.Frog. You made it raining,” said the hippo.

“It’s not me who made it raining. I can only foretell when it will rain because I have got a sixth sense built into my system by God almighty. It enables me to tell when it will rain. That is why when I cry, it is raining,” said the frog.

The hippo smiled. Thanks for letting me know that. “We are friends,” said the hippo. The frog smiled.
