Hippo And The Cat

A playful cat was sprinting for his life, frantically trying to outrun a silly dog who was hot on his heels. Reaching the edge of the riverbank, the cat skidded to a sudden halt—a wide, fast-flowing river blocked his escape.

"Oh no, I'm trapped!" the cat cried out in distress.

Just as the dog drew near, ripples stirred in the center of the river, and a gigantic hippopotamus emerged from the water. Seeing no other option, the cat leaped with all his strength and landed right on top of the hippo’s head!

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" grumbled the startled hippo, preparing to shake the unwanted visitor off into the water.

Before he could, the hippo caught sight of the barking, wild-eyed dog bouncing frustratedly along the shore. Understanding the situation instantly, the hippo’s gentle smile returned. "Ah, I see... you're being chased. Don't worry, little one, I'll give you safe passage."

Carrying the cat safely perched on his head, the hippo waded smoothly through the cool river currents. On the far shore, the cat hopped off onto dry ground, entirely out of the dog's reach. Grateful and relieved, the little cat purred softly and offered a heartfelt thank-you to his giant savior before trotting away into safety.
