The little girl, Lily, loved her horse, Silver. Every day, she would go to the stable and spend hours brushing Silver’s coat, talking to him, and dreaming of the day they would go on a grand adventure.
One day, Lily decided it was time for their adventure. She packed a bag with apples for Silver and a blanket for herself. She put on her favorite boots and her lucky hat, then she led Silver out of the stable.
They set off down the dusty road, Lily riding side-saddle on Silver’s back. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the wind was blowing through Lily’s hair. It was the perfect day for an adventure.
After a while, they came to a river. Lily hesitated. She had never crossed a river before. But Silver nuzzled her hand and seemed to say, “Don’t worry, Lily, I’ll take care of you.”
So Lily took a deep breath and urged Silver into the water. The water was cold and rushing, but Silver was strong and steady. He carried Lily safely to the other side.
On the other side of the river, they found a beautiful meadow filled with wildflowers. Lily and Silver spent the rest of the day there, playing and picnicking. It was the best adventure Lily had ever had.
As the sun began to set, Lily knew it was time to go home. She hugged Silver goodbye and promised him they would have many more adventures together.
As they walked back to the stable, Lily felt happy and proud. She had faced her fear and had a wonderful adventure with her best friend, Silver.
