It's Fun Time For The Baby Cat

A big brown bear came lumbering out of the deep, green forest and walked right into the edge of the quiet village.

As he peeked around, he spotted a tiny, fluffy baby cat. The little cat looked up at the huge bear with wide, curious eyes.

The bear's heart melted! "Oh, you are the cutest thing I've ever seen!" he thought.

"Hello there, little friend," the bear rumbled kindly. "Would you like to come with me for a wonderful adventure in the forest today?"

The baby cat purred a little "Meow!" and happily trotted along with the friendly bear.

They spent the whole day together! They splashed in a clean, cool stream, found shiny, smooth stones, and the bear showed the cat how the tall trees tickle the clouds.

When the sun began to set, the bear knew it was time. He carefully carried the little cat back to the village.

A Worried Mama

The baby cat’s mother, a sleek black cat, was pacing anxiously near her door. When she saw the giant bear bringing her tiny baby back, she fluffed up her tail and let out a fierce, angry hiss!

"Grrrr!" she scolded. "Where were you? And what do you think you're doing with my kitten, you big forest animal!"

But the baby cat quickly jumped down and rubbed against its mother's leg. "Don't be mad, Mama! The bear is the nicest! We had so much fun! He told me stories and kept me safe all day!"

The mother cat looked at her happy baby, and then at the gentle bear. Her anger melted away.

She smiled at the bear and gave a soft "Thank you."

"Thank you, big bear, for taking my little one on such a special outing! It was very kind of you."

The bear smiled his big bear smile. "You're very welcome," he said. "It was the best fun I've had all year."

And with a wave of his paw, the bear lumbered happily back to his home in the forest.
