Hey, I can't ran fast in decline

Once upon a time in a sunny forest, a giant, friendly elephant waved his trunk at a tiny rabbit.

“Hey, Mr. Fast Bunny! Do you want to have a race?” asked the elephant.

“I sure do!” said the bunny, bouncing on his toes. “But I need two days to practice my fast hops!”

“Okay! We will race day after tomorrow!” agreed the elephant.

For two days, both animals practiced super hard. The elephant practiced taking BIG, heavy steps. The bunny practiced taking fast, snappy hops!

When race day arrived, all the forest animals gathered at the bottom of a giant mountain. The monkey referee held a shiny whistle up to his mouth.

TWEET! went the whistle. Off they went!

First, they had to run UP the steep mountain. The big elephant had strong, powerful legs. He marched right up the hill, zooming ahead!

“Yay! I am going to win!” thought the elephant with a happy smile. The little bunny was far, far behind.

But then, the trail went DOWN the other side of the mountain. Uh-oh! The elephant was so heavy that he started to wobble! He had to slow way down so he wouldn't tumble like a big bowling ball.

This was the bunny’s big moment! Downhill was his specialty. Hop! Hop! Zip! Zoom! The bunny flew down the mountain like a little speedy rocket!

Near the finish line, the elephant and the bunny were running right next to each other!

Swoosh! They both crossed the finish line at the very same second!

The monkey blew his whistle again. TWEET!

“It’s a tie!” cheered the monkey. “You BOTH win!”

The crowd of animals clapped and cheered. The elephant and the bunny gave each other a high-five, super happy to share the grand prize together!
