"Hurry up, please! Take me to the other side of the river," the rabbit requested the crocodile, who was running a ferry to the other side of the river.
"Sure, I will take you. I will wait for another passenger as well. It's a loss for me if I go with only one passenger," said the croc.
The fox, who was chasing the rabbit, arrived there and jumped upon the croc.
"Take me also to the other side of the river," said the fox.
"Sure, we can move, at least I have got two passengers," smiled the croc.
The rabbit had no option but to sit on the croc with a panting heart. The croc started sailing through the river. The fox smiled at the rabbit. "Once we reach the other side of the river, you are my lunch, dear," whispered the fox.
Poor rabbit, prayed to God for help. When the crocodile ferry reached the middle of the river, a hippo emerged from the water and asked the rabbit to jump upon him. Seeing the hippo, the rabbit jumped upon the hippo. The crocodile was angry because he lost one passenger. But he didn't want to fight with a hippo.
The fox was also angry. "You fool croc, I lost my lunch," the fox shouted. The angry croc shook the fox down to the water. The fox couldn't swim and drowned under the water. Nobody saw the fox again. The rabbit thanked the hippo for saving its life.
