The Cat Who Wanted To Fly

The lazy cat was sitting idle without much to do. A bird flying in the sky landed near the cat. The cat grew curious about the bird.

"Hey, Mr. Bird, what fun are you getting flying around?" asked the cat.

"Flying is so much fun. From the sky, I see things you can't see. Nothing is hidden from my eyes. I see people working in the fields, children playing, and many other things you can't see sitting on the ground," said the bird.

"Oh, I see. What should I do for you to take me also with you? I will do anything. If you say no, I will eat you," said the cat by catching the bird. The bird was shocked about the bad behaviour of the cat.

"Definitely you can fly. But you are so heavy, so I can't take you now. You need to be thin for flying," said the bird.

The cat skipped the meal for a few days to get thin. After a couple of days, the cat was so weak. Even walking a few steps was difficult for the cat.

"What's happening to my dear son," the mother cat was upset about her thinning son. So she took her son to the vet. The vet examined the cat and asked why the cat was skipping its meals.

"I wanted to fly, so I am getting thin as instructed by a bird. The bird promised it would take me for a flight if I got thin," said the cat.

The vet laughed and laughed so much that tears came from his eyes.

"If you still think the bird can teach you fly, I will call you a fool. If you skip one more meal, you will die of starvation. Now, get up and start eating your meals," said the vet.

The cat realized his grave mistake and started eating food. After a few days, the cat regained its health.
