A bird was living in a tree. It was time for her to lay her eggs, and she carefully placed five of them in her nest.
"Hello, neighbor! I live in this tree too," said a snake, slithering closer. "I'm so glad you're going to have babies. Don't you worry while I'm here; I'll safeguard your eggs."
"That's so nice of you, Mr. Snake. I'm glad I have such a kind neighbor," replied the bird.
Later, the bird flew to nearby fields to find food. Suddenly, an unusual feeling washed over her. "I think I must return home immediately," she thought, a sense of unease growing. She rushed back to her nest, only to find the snake slowly moving towards her precious eggs, clearly intending to eat them.
"Hey, you there! I trusted you, and you're such a nasty creature!" the bird cried out, and immediately began biting the snake. Caught off guard, the snake lost its balance, tumbled from the tree, and died.
