A Close Call

Oops, Who's crossing the road?

The monkey was driving his brand-new car. It was a smart, high-tech vehicle—all he had to do was sit back and give voice commands. No steering wheel, no brake pedals. He was thoroughly enjoying the smooth ride on his very first trip to visit his mother.

Suddenly, a little rabbit darted across the road, and the car automatically screeched to a halt. Right behind the rabbit, a hungry tiger leaped out in hot pursuit.

"Ah, I have to save that poor rabbit child!" the monkey exclaimed to himself.

He immediately ordered the car to turn around and race toward the rabbit. Pulling up beside the terrified creature, he opened the door and shouted for him to hop in. Just as the tiger closed in, the smart car sped away into safety.

The monkey safely delivered the rabbit child back to his mother, who thanked him profusely for his help. With the rabbit safe, the monkey resumed his journey.

By the time he finally arrived at his mother's house, it was already evening.

"Hey, why are you so late?" his mother asked, greeting him at the door.

The monkey explained everything that had happened along the way. Listening to the heroic rescue, his mother beamed with pride.

"What a brave and kind child I have," she said, smiling warmly.

Wow, a super smart car that drives itself?! That is SO COOL! I wish my bicycle had a voice button so I could just say 'Fly to the ice cream shop!' and it would go WHOOSH! Monkey was super brave to save the bunny from the big mean tiger. I hope the car has a button that shoots bubbles at the tiger next time!
