In the heart of the Great Green Jungle, the grass was freshly mowed, the sun was shining, and the "Jungle United" soccer team was ready for their biggest game yet. Well, everyone except Eddie the Elephant.
Eddie was the strongest animal in the jungle. He could lift fallen logs with one trunk-wiggle! But when it came to soccer, Eddie had a "tiny" problem: he was terrified of the ball.
"It’s just so small," Eddie whispered, looking down at the black-and-white soccer ball. "What if I step on it? What if I kick it all the way to the moon?"
Milo the Monkey, wearing his lucky number 7 jersey, swung down from a sturdy oak tree. "Don't worry, Eddie! You’ve got the power, you just need the touch. And how do we get the touch?"
Eddie sighed. "Practice?"
"Exactly!" Milo chirped. "Practice makes perfect!"
Milo set up three challenges for Eddie under the shade of the big trees:
The day of the Big Match arrived. The team was playing against the Speedy Cheetahs. By the last minute of the game, the score was tied 1–1.
Milo zoomed down the field, but three cheetahs blocked his path. "Eddie!" he screamed, passing the ball backward.
The crowd gasped. The ball rolled right toward Eddie’s giant feet. For a second, Eddie froze. He remembered the berry bush. He remembered the ball falling off his trunk. But then, he remembered Milo’s voice: Practice makes perfect.
Eddie didn't panic. He used his Tip-Toe Tap to settle the ball. He used his Trunk-Balance skills to find his aim. Then, with a gentle thump, he kicked the ball right into the corner of the net.
The jungle erupted in cheers. Milo hopped onto Eddie’s shoulder. "See? I told you! All those hours under the tree paid off."
Eddie trumpeted loudly, his trunk held high. He wasn't the "clumsy" elephant anymore—he was the MVP. And he knew that whenever things got tough, he just had to keep on practicing.
