Turtle To The Bottom Of The Ocean

Hi everyone!

Did you know I’m a sea turtle? Right now, I’m making my way back to my cozy home at the very bottom of the ocean, where my family is waiting for me!

When I’m up on the sandy beach, moving around is super tricky. I have to drag myself along, and it feels like slow motion! But the second I splash into the ocean… WHOOSH! My heavy flippers turn into magical underwater wings. I can glide, dive, and zoom through the water faster than you can blink!

Even though I love the blue ocean way more than the dry land, the beach holds a special place in my heart. It’s where my own story began! A long time ago, I hatched out of a tiny shell in the warm sand and waddled straight into the waves with all my brothers and sisters.

Now that I’m grown up, I visit the beach every once in a while to dig a safe little spot in the sand and lay my own eggs. Once my baby turtles hatch, they do the exact same thing I did—they scurry down to the water and paddle home to join us in the deep blue sea!
