Why the Elephant is the Boss

Even though the rhino is fast and has a sharp horn, the elephant has one giant advantage: Size! 1. The Weight Gap: An elephant is about three to four times heavier than a rhino. That’s like a pro football player going up against a toddler!

1. The Reach: With its long tusks and trunk, the elephant can push the rhino away before the rhino even gets close.
2. The "Musth" Factor: When a male elephant is in a "grumpy" mood (called musth), even the bravest rhino knows it's time to skedaddle.
