The Singing Bird and the Sleepy Cat

A fluffy cat was snoozing peacefully in the warm sunshine. Suddenly, he twitched his ears! A sweet little song was coming from the rooftop.

“Meow? What’s that lovely sound?” the cat mumbled, stretching his paws.

He peeked over the edge of the roof and saw a little bird singing his heart out.

“Hello!” called the cat. “What are you doing up there?”

“I’m singing a happy song!” chirped the bird. “I hope someone nice will hear me.”

The cat yawned and curled up for another nap. The bird’s song was quite soothing. After a little while, the cat woke up again. Now he heard two sweet voices singing together!

He looked up and saw the first little bird sitting next to another bird. They were singing the same happy tune, their voices twirling together like ribbons in the wind.

“Look, Mr. Cat!” chirped the first bird, his eyes sparkling. “This is my friend! We are singing a song together!”

The cat smiled a sleepy smile. It sounded like a very happy song indeed. He closed his eyes, feeling warm and content, listening to the two little birds sing their joyful melody.
