The Grumpy Volcano and the Patchwork Dinosaur

Deep in a valley of lavender paper hills lived Archie, a lonely little dinosaur made of brown felt and black spots. Every day, he stared at the quiet, purple mountains, wishing for someone to play with.

One morning, the tallest mountain went RUMBLE! A fuzzy grey cloud of felt smoke puffed from the top. It was a very grumpy volcano!

Archie didn't run away. Instead, he grabbed his craft supplies—a sheet of sunshine-yellow paper, blue felt, and a roll of tape. He hurried across the valley and taped a giant, cheerful "hat" onto the mountain's snowy peak.

The volcano stopped grumbling. It blew out a soft, fluffy white cloud that looked just like a smile.

Archie grinned his big, orange-red felt grin. He wasn't lonely anymore—he had the happiest volcano in the world for a friend!
